Round 2: Group Discussion (7 August 2024, Online, Only for BAs)
Out of 208 candidates who appeared in the first round, 47 were selected for further rounds.
Based on your marks, roles are allotted, either Business Analyst or Framework Engineer. Those selected for Framework Engineer do not appear for the GD.
Two rounds of GDs were held online on Gmeet, each with approximately 7 students and a moderator from the company on the panel.
Topic for GD Round 1: "Work-Life balance is a myth."
Topic for GD Round 2: "Privatization of Indian Railways."
From each panel, approximately 2 candidates were selected for the next round.
Round 3: Interview 1 (7 August 2024, Online)
About 15 minutes after GD results were announced, selected candidates were asked to be present for an online interview immediately.
This round was a technical interview, which lasted for about 35-40 minutes, where the questions focused on my projects. Since the company is AI-focused, having multiple AI-based projects worked to my advantage. The interviewer asked about the formulas related to the confusion matrix and the various ML models I used in my projects, such as Random Forest, as well as the basics of Deep Learning, given my project experience in these areas.
They also inquired about the use of Responsible AI, the AI products developed by the company, my experience with cloud platforms, and how to deploy AI models on the cloud. Additionally, I was presented with a business situation and asked how I would approach it. The round concluded with a question on guesstimate.
Round 4: Interview 2 (8 August 2024, On Campus In-person)
14 candidates were selected for Round 4.
For this round, Business Analysts selected are further divided into specific roles: Sales Engineer or Delivery.
For me, the second technical interview was intense, lasting up to 50-60 minutes, with a deep dive into my projects. For example, one of my projects was on Human Action Recognition, and they grilled me on why I chose to focus on this domain. They further asked what changes I would make if I had to adapt the project for a different domain.
Next, they presented several case studies, including one related to Zomato, asking how I would use AI to improve its operations. This led to a brainstorming session where, for every solution I proposed, they pointed out multiple limitations. I was then tasked with suggesting ways to overcome those limitations.
The focus was primarily on evaluating whether I could:
Understand the exact business needs of the customer.
Convince the customer of the solution's value.
Demonstrate to the client how the product effectively solves their problem.
Leverage my technical knowledge to communicate and deal with customers effectively.
The company emphasized that they believe only individuals with a strong technical background can handle such challenges efficiently, making this a key aspect of the interview process.
Round 5: HR Interview (8 August 2024, On Campus In-person)
The HR round was a basic behavioral questioning round where they asked me about my family background, strengths, weaknesses, and hobbies. Then they gave me a situation to solve involving a scenario related to organizational hierarchy in the workplace.
It lasted for about 15-20 minutes.
Six candidates were selected for the HR Round, and all six got selected.
